Inside Line Promotions – THE WOODLANDS, Texas (May 2, 2017) – If past success is any indication, Tommy Bryant and the SawBlade.com backed Cooper Motorsports team feel confident they will have great results this weekend.
After taking nearly a month off from racing, Bryant will compete with the ASCS Gulf South Region this Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, for the 2nd annual Gene Adamchik Memorial before racing on Saturday at Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas, for the 5th annual Nolan Wren Memorial.
“We have been working on the car and getting things organized,” he said. “We’ve built a few new wings and done general maintenance. I also got to spend a weekend away with my wife and kids.”
A year ago April, Bryant showed great speed at Gator Motorplex, advancing through the B Main before blasting from 16th to a third-place finish in the feature. A month later at Heart O’ Texas he finished fourth followed by a runner-up result at the track in July.
“We’ve had pretty good results at both these tracks and have a lot of good information to go off,” he said. “Brad (Benic) has the bar and shock packages great. He can change a bar and the car comes alive. It gives me tremendous confidence to know we can make changes to the car and it reacts. I’m excited to get back out there and hopefully get a pair of wins.”
Bryant enters the weekend ranked sixth in the ASCS Gulf South Region championship standings despite skipping multiple races this season.
