Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (May 1, 2017) – A trio of Driven Midwest backed drivers are invading the 2nd annual Midget Round Up later this month.
Frank Flud and Harley Hollan, who head up the micro sprint chassis and parts distributor business that is located in Tulsa, Okla., will compete in the non-wing micro sprint portion of the marquee event at Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kan., on May 27-28. Team driver Holley Hollan will also race both nights at the TBJ Promotions event, which pays $1,000 to win each night.
“Tony Bruce Jr. and everyone at TBJ Promotions does a great job so we’re excited to race in the event,” Flud said. “It will also be a good opportunity for us to showcase Driven Midwest. We’re trying to look everywhere we can to get more exposure. It’s an area we want to start breaking into. Anytime we get a chance to go somewhere new we definitely like to try to go in and see if we can get a few more potential customers.”
Flud said the 2nd annual Midget Round Up will mark his debut at Airport Raceway. However, that shouldn’t be a problem for the Oklahoma native, who has won 22 races out of the 31 he has entered this year. In fact, he’s been victorious nine times during a dozen non-wing events in 2017.
Flud added that he has 336 career micro sprint victories, including 37 in 2013, 57 in 2014, 56 in 2015 and 40 last season.
“Frank Flud is one of the best micro sprint racers in the country,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said. “We’re excited to welcome him as well as the rest of the Driven Midwest team to the 2nd annual Midget Round Up. It’s shaping up to be a tremendous show in all of our classes.”
In addition to the non-wing micro sprints, the event will showcase the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series and the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association in a $2,000-to-win midget main event each night. The Colorado Lightning Sprints will race both nights as well.
The event festivities begin on May 26 when Jax Sports Grille in Garden City will host a Friday evening pre-race party.
The action at the track starts on May 27 when the front gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
There is limited reserved spectator parking at the track available. To purchase a spot, call 620-287-3695.
TBJ Promotions would like to thank the Finney County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Burtis Motor Company, Mid-America Millwright, The Tunnel Car Wash, Johnson Septic Tank Services, Jax Sports Grille, Driven Midwest and Maupin’s Truck Service for their continued support of the event.
