Lernerville

Rain was in the forecast all week for Lernerville's Fab Four event, but after an early shower the sun came out and racing was on. Lernerville has been a challenge for most of Sodeman's 17 years in a sprint but tonight Sodeman would "get that monkey off his back" quoted his mother Cheryl Sodeman.

It was another bad pill picking night getting the second to last pill in the bucket Sodeman was due to start the tail of the first heat. Because of there only being two heats the 23jr's 5th place finish got him into the draw.

Starting outside pole in the feature is great news on any night but with points leader Rod George starting on the pole and Ed Lynch Jr. starting behind him, Sodeman knew he had his work cut out for him. Sodeman set the car up for the top side and boy did it pay off. 23jr and George battled the first two laps, a restart on lap two would have George in front of Sodeman. George trying to keep Sodeman behind him attempted the high side, unfortunately didn't set into turn one and two as high as Sodeman who took the lead coming out of two. From that point on Sodeman led the last twenty-three laps of the twenty-five lap feature.

In victory lane a special thanks for all their help and support went out to team part owner's Mark Cubic Sr. and Mark Cubic Jr. of Economy Tooling, and Bill Mahan of Verizon Wireless who until last night had not been in victory lane at Lernerville.
