20 drivers for the Wisconsin wingLESS series presented by the IRA showed up to do battle on the high banks of the Beaver Dam Raceway. The field was a mix of experienced series regulars like Doug Schenck and the Koubas as well as drivers who were brand new to not only the series but racing cars in general. Qualifying was dominated by returning regulars, as Jake Kouba would collect fast time followed by Jordan Mattson. 3rd quick would be claimed by series newcomer Rod Colburn, nephew of 1975 and 76 IRA champion Dick Colburn. The top five was rounded out by Allen Hafford and Jimmy Kouba.
The fans were treated to a show as 7th starting Schenck would charge to the lead in just 3 laps. He would be followed to the checkered by Jimmy and Jake Kouba. 4th and 5th would be claimed by Colburn and 5 time mini sprint champion Nick Petska respectively.
Heat 2 would see Mattson drive from 4th to the lead before the checkered flag would fall. Asphalt and dirt standout Tim Cox would follow Mattson across the line. Hafford, Nathan Crane, and Craig Campton would round out the top 5.
The A main saw Cox jump to the early lead and never look back. Mattson would work his way to 2nd and try to challenge for the lead but with a motor experiencing issues he would be forced to settle for 2nd. The Minnesota duo of Jake and Jimmy Kouba would finish 3rd and 4th respectively. The top 5 would be rounded out by former 410 competitor Allen Hafford.
