Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (March 31, 2017) – Brandon Hanks is racing close to home this weekend.
Hanks will venture to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., on Saturday for an ASCS Mid-South Region and ASCS Red River Region co-sanctioned event.
“I enjoy racing close to home and competing at I-30 Speedway,” he said. “We’ve had some good runs there. It’s a fun little bullring where you have to get up on the wheel so I’m sure Saturday will be a great show.”
Hanks recorded his career-best finish at the track of fourth place in 2015 and in 2013. He scored at least one top-10 finish at the quarter-mile oval for four straight seasons entering last year, when his lone visit was his career debut with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Hanks advanced into the main event and battled for a top 15 most of the race before settling for an 18th-place result.
“I think we are a better team and I’m a better driver than last year and definitely than two years ago when we were there in a 360ci sprint car,” he said. “I have a lot of confidence that we can be competitive right out of the box this Saturday. The goal is to pick up our first win of the season.”
