Inside Line Promotions – LINCOLN, Neb. (March 8, 2017) – MyRacePass has generated a new MRP Pro Platinum track package for Hamlin Speedway.
The website – http://www.HamlinSpeed.com – has pages showcasing the schedule and results, news, information, photos, points, driver info and more.
Hamlin Speedway is a 1/5-mile dirt oval located in Hamlin, Pa. The track showcases junior slingshots, all star slingshots, super slingers, wingless 270 sprints, rookie wingless 600 sprints, wingless 600 sprints and stage one modified on Saturday nights from the middle of April through early September. It is promoted by Randy and Denise Smith, who own S&S Speedways – an indoor go-kart facility in Stroudsburg, Pa.
Hamlin Speedway hosts several big events throughout the season, including specials for each division; junior slingshot driver introductions, where the “stars of tomorrow” line the front stretch and get interviewed; slingshot tour events; a “National 50” lapper; and stage one modified tour races just to name a few.
The track also puts on a fundraiser, which is held over the 4th of July, titled the “Firecracker 100.” It has become a source of pride and joy in helping the local chapter of Wounded Warriors – VetStock. All Hamlin Racing families participate in selling raffle tickets, donate and collect goods for a Chinese auction, and sponsor laps for the Hamlin Hundred (a 100-lap feature for the AllStar Slingshots). All ticket sales and auction dollars go directly to VetStock. The lap sponsor money is then split with the drivers. This is truly a team effort and is a great way of paying forward by helping our soldiers. In total, Hamlin Speedway has raised nearly $20,000 to aid those in need.
