IRA met with the main man at GM Performance at the RPM promoters Workshop in Daytona, and our Quick Fuel and MSD rep (same parent company) at RP Expo last week. Following that, next meeting was with industry legal team on proper rulebook language. Finishing everything up, should have in print within a week. No car construction changes. Wheel cover fasteners will be something new though not putting that rule into effect for a few weeks into season. Remember this from last year please, you will need front torsion stop locks. And no hollow or drilled bolts either...., so nothing that should prevent anyone from moving forward and completing putting your rolling chassis together. Hoosier SC98 & SC100 LR tires are an approved option to in 2017 and are in addition to current H12 94 & 96 as LR tire options. And PLEASE remember as we've said all winter, WE WILL be checking all engines and pulling valve covers on everyone. Visuals will determine how much more we have to inspect on each. On 604's remember stock 1.5 rockers, stock valve springs, stock lift, etc... .030 over max, external balancer, etc. We will be inspecting wiring and MSD soft touch units as well. Keep everything spec and we'll all be just fine. We've teched several engines all ready and appreciate everyone's cooperation to date. Any questions in the mean time call Steve 815-260-2558Inline image
or Joe. Separate wingLESS rulebook with procedures will be posted soon. Looking forward to a great 2017 season.
