Meeting Highlights,
Joe Kosiski started the meeting with a talk about being loyal to the group and making as many races as possible if not all of them.
Next he discussed what the pre registration does for getting out names on their web site and facebook, He made it clear it wasn’t to get the competitors money, people look at those entrys and think if they are only having ten cars why should I go, he expreesed the importance of pre registration.
Tech was brought up, that we need to tech more , I expressed that we would have to pay someone to get them on a regular basis, It was brought up that we need to fund this action, was discussed and suggested we go to a 20 dollar pill draw to finance this, everyone agreed this was a good Idea.
I (dennis) have been making up the slack of a lot of operating costs, gas , checks, equipment to run the races, etc. I did this through my business last four years. Next year my Street in front of my business will be closed for two months as they repave and put storm sewers in, water mains, and so on, I have no Idea how much this will affect my normal business as only way it will be accessible is through the alley. What was proposed was to raise the membership fee to 100 dollars a year to help with these costs.
We are working on a schedule and had 12 shows lined up at that point, since then Badlands Speedway , and Butler County Speedway have closed, Park Jefferson is looking at putting in more shows, and I reached out to NCRA to maybe cosanction a couple together!
We will have Carpetland back as a partner , Once again Speedway Motors is back, They wanted to be the hard charger award, so it will be a gift certificate of 200 dollars to the hard charger at our races. Once again the Electrical Systems inc Podium draw will be back. We have also had discussions with another sponsor and as it is not a totally done deal I cannot release any info yet. It should be soon and it will be a great deal for our group!
Yes we are working on a banquet, it was brought up that we have a nicer banquet than before, Lisa from I-80, Luke Cocoran, and Joe Kosiski have offered to help , look for anouncment soon.
Axle teathers were brought up, and I-80 speedway says they will be mandatory,, NCRA also requires them.
