Inside Line Promotions – LINCOLN, Neb. (Nov. 7, 2016) – Mark Burch Motorsports produced several stout moments during a short 2016 campaign.

The team got off to a late start after having to essentially rebuild the program following a devastating storm toward the end of the 2015 season. Owner Mark Burch had a new trailer built, but once the team hit the track the results were the same as usual.

Danny Lasoski drove to a pair of victories, eight top fives and a dozen top 10s in only 14 races.

“It was a short season, but a very gratifying one,” he said. “We want to win every race and I think that’s why Mark and I get along so well. Every time we go out we’re in contention for the win. It’s an honor for me to drive his race car. He’s not only a great car owner, he’s a great friend.”

The team ended the season by sweeping the Dan Laber Memorial at Billings Motorsports Park in Billings, Mont., which was a two-day event with the NSA Shootout in September.

“Sweeping it was pretty cool, especially because we had to drive so far to race,” Lasoski said. “That was a great way to end the year and give ourselves momentum heading into 2017. Another big moment this year was finishing on the podium at the 360 Knoxville Nationals. Mark’s goal is to win the 360 Knoxville Nationals and we came up one spot short, but hopefully we can achieve that goal next year.”

Mark Burch Motorsports finished a career-best second place during the marquee event at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, in August. The team earned six top-six finishes, including four podiums, during seven 360ci races following that event.

“I want to thank Danny for his hard work as well as our sponsors for their continued support,” Burch said. “We pride ourselves on learning and improving each season and I look forward to what 2017 brings.”

Additionally, Mark Burch Motorsports would like to thank everyone who supported the Team Jack Foundation by purchasing a unique t-shirt. All sales of the apparel went to the Team Jack Foundation.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Team Jack Foundation

The Team Jack Foundation was established to raise money to fund impactful pediatric brain cancer research and to create national awareness for the disease. The Team Jack Foundation got its start when Jack Hoffman, who is a 10-year-old from Atkinson, Neb., was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011. Hoffman battled life-threatening surgeries and debilitating seizures as doctors scrambled to save his life.

During that time his family reached out to the University of Nebraska in hopes that Hoffman could meet Rex Burkhead, who was the star running back for the football team. They met in September 2011 and a friendship was born, which was also featured on ESPN. Burkhead’s support earned him the Rare Disease Champion Award presented by Uplifting Athletes.

As of January 2014, the Team Jack movement has raised $2.5 million and counting for pediatric brain cancer research. The Team Jack Foundation is working with world renowned researchers, directly, to develop relevant and impactful research initiatives.

“We are extremely happy to support the Team Jack Foundation and its mission,” Burch said. “The Team Jack Foundation is something that is special to me. We want to do all we can within the grass roots level of dirt racing where we are known to promote the awareness of pediatric cancer and hopefully help raise additional funds for research to cure the disease.”

Mark Burch Motorsports would also like to thank Engler Machine & Tool, Inc., Wolfweld Chassis, AFCO Gas Shocks by Speedway Motors, King Racing Products, Hot Dot Inc., Weld Wheels, Speedway Motors, Speedway Shock Service, Huggins Cams, Total Seal Piston Rings, Schoenfeld Headers, Joe Gibbs Driven Race Oil, Gessford Machine, Dyer’s Top Rods, Wireless Amber Alerts, Hoosier Tire, Arrow Truck Sales, Donovan Blocks, Rod End Supply, Diamond Pistons, Saldana Racing Products, MSD Ignition, Vortex Wings, S & S Welding, Inc., Sweet Manufacturing, DMI Bulldog Rears, Wulff Pumps, Red Devil Brakes, Goodridge Fluid Transfer Systems, Harris Decals and Lincoln Auto Auction for their continued support.
