Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (Nov. 1, 2016) – Brandon Hanks heads to Creek County Speedway this weekend only two races away from capturing his first career sprint car championship.

Hanks enters the ASCS Red River Region doubleheader, which is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour on Friday and Saturday, leading the championship standings by 123 points.

“I still want to win the race at the end of the day,” he said. “I don’t know if there’s any need in watching points. I just know if I run good points take care of themselves.”

Hanks, who has registered four feature victories this season – including two with the ASCS Red River Region – is seeking his first career win at the bullring in Sapulpa, Okla.

“It’s been one of my favorite tracks,” he said. “This year we haven’t done so well, but in the past it’s been pretty good to me. I hope we can turn that around this weekend. I’ve never won there, but we’ve had some good runs there and I think we should have won. We need to go in attack mode and play offense.”

Hanks has earned two top 10s in four races at Creek County Speedway this season, highlighted by a third-place result. He also garnered two third-place finishes at the track last year.

“I just like little bullrings, the tight racing,” he said. “I’ve always liked the short tracks. It reminds me of go-kart days I guess. Even if you make little mistakes you can make up for it in the next corner. It’s not hard to get your momentum going.”
