Jason Meyers Extends Streak of Top-10 Finishes to Remain World of Outlaws Point Leader: Steve Kinser Uses Win at Jackson to Move into Second

Concord, NC—May 2, 2010—Jason Meyers finished sixth on Saturday night at Jackson Speedway to extend his string of Top-10 finishes to start the 2010 campaign to 13. The native of Clovis, California, who leads the series with four wins, is the only driver that has finished in the Top-10 in each and every race this season.

Steve Kinser used his second win of the season on Saturday night to move up into second in the standings, and is just 18 markers behind Meyers as he chases his record 21st title. Kinser has 12 Top-10 finishes in the first 13 events of 2010 with nine of those being Top-Five performances.

Joey Saldana fell one spot to third in points after having a flat tire while running fourth at Jackson Speedway with just a couple of laps remaining. The second generation driver led the first 17 laps on Saturday night after starting on the pole. He has 11 Top-10 finishes this season with nine Top-Fives and is just 11 points behind Kinser and 29 out of the lead.

Donny Schatz finished ninth at Jackson Speedway to pick up his 11th Top-10 finishes of the season. The four-time and defending series champion remains fourth in points and is 73 markers out of the top spot.

Jason Sides came home eighth on Saturday night to score his ninth Top-10 finish of 2010. The native of Barlett, Tennessee remains fifth in the standings and is just 22 points behind Schatz for the fourth spot.

Danny Lasoski, finished 15th at Jackson Speedway after being caught up in an opening lap accident that led to a couple of visits to the work area, and remains sixth in points on the strength of seven Top-10 finishes with two of those being Top-Fives.

Jac Haudenschild used a runner-up finish at Jackson Speedway to move up a spot to seventh in the standings on the strength of a win along with six Top-10 finishes. The veteran has finished in the Top-Five in three consecutive races.

Kraig Kinser finished 11th at Jackson Speedway and is currently eighth in points on the strength of six Top-10 finishes, with two of those being Top-Five performances.

Paul McMahan finished fourth at Jackson Speedway to pick up his eighth Top-10 finish of the season and fifth Top-Five. He is currently ninth in points as he continues to fill in for the injured Cody Darrah at Kasey Kahne Racing.

Lucas Wolfe used a podium finish in his first visit to Jackson Speedway to move back into the 10th spot in points on the strength of five Top-10 finishes with a pair of those being Top-Five runs.

The World of Outlaws return to action on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Ohio for the Outlaw Thunder by Goodyear weekend.
