Chance Crum Making Trip South To Delta And Lemoore

Snohomish, Washington- With racing in the Pacific Northwest a few weeks away, one driver is looking to get some racing under his belt before domestic competition kicks off. That driver is Chance Crum, who finished 3rd in the final points at Washington’s Deming Speedway in the 600cc division, and the team is headed to California for a pair of events. It will be the first race for the Snohomish, Washington native, in his Clean Crawls/AirVan/Joes Racing Products/Speedmart Inc./Keizer Wheels/Farrell Frameworks #83C entry, since taking part of the Tulsa Shootout at the beginning of the year in Oklahoma. He competed in both the Outlaw 600cc Winged and Non-Winged divisions.

“This year we have a new Farrell Frameworks/Joes Racing Products 600cc car,” commented Crum, “we ran this same car at the Shootout and were very fast but just had some bad luck. On our trip south we hope to go down there to learn a lot about the car and most of all have fun.”

The busy weekend will start at Stockton’s Delta Speedway on Thursday March 17th for their special event they have planned promoted alongside the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series doubleheader. Friday night will be spent relaxing and watching the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series at The Dirt Track at Stockton before the team travels even farther south. Saturday, the 19th, will find Crum and company at Lemoore Raceway. It will be a great test against some of the best drivers in the Western United States.
“I’ve only been to Delta a couple of times and last occasion was this race last year. But I’ve never been to Lemoore before and I’m pretty excited to finally get to run there.”

Once the California adventure has concluded the team will focus on getting things ready in their native Pacific Northwest. Crum plans to run the entire 600cc schedule at Deming Speedway as well as run the entire Northwest Focus Midget Series. The series ventures to Deming, Elma’s Grays Harbor Raceway, and Skagit Speedway in Alger as well as two Oregon venues Sunset Speedway Park and Cottage Grove Speedway.

“This season there is a lot of races on our schedule but it should be a fun year. I’m really excited to run both a Wing and Non-Wing car all year, and at a bunch of different tracks. My goal is to gain experience and learn as much as I can, and maybe we can get some wins along the way."

On select occasions at Deming Chance will drive for Brock Lemley in the 1200cc ranks. Special events throughout the year include the prestigious Clay Cup at Deming, where he finished 2nd in the final night last year, and California Speedweek. He will also make the long journeys to Visalia’s Plaza Park Raceway for the Super 600 Nationals as well as the Tulsa Shootout in late December.
