Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Sept. 25, 2016) – Jackson Motorplex has been forced to cancel the remainder of the IMCA Stock Car Nationals featuring the Doug Cellan Memorial Race because of Saturday’s storm and persistent rain throughout the night.
“We are bummed we aren’t able to finish our season finale, but Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate,” Jackson Motorplex General Manager Doug Johnson said. “I want to thank all of the fans and drivers for supporting not only the event, but our weekly racing this season as well. Additionally, we’ve had some great marketing partners at the track and we want to thank them for their support.”
More than 125 entries tackled the IMCA Stock Car Nationals on Saturday. Half of the six classes were able to run a full program as Doug Smith won the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods main event, Justin Luinenburg captured the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks A Main and Jay Devries garnered the Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts victory.
The 2017 Jackson Motorplex schedule will be released in the near future.
