Inside Line Promotions – OSBORN, Mo. (Sept. 19, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski is anything but satisfied with a pair of top 10s last weekend.

The Muddy sponsored team placed sixth both Friday at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, during the Arnold Motor Supply Shootout and Saturday at U.S. 36 Raceway in the FVP Missouri High-Banked Nationals. The doubleheader was co-sanctioned between the National Sprint League and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

“Our focus is winning races and at the start of both A Mains last weekend I thought we had a car capable of doing that,” he said.

The action began on Friday when Lasoski made his first appearance at Clay County Fair Speedway since 2012. He qualified fifth quickest before finishing second in a heat race to lock into the dash.

“We ran sixth in the dash,” he said. “It seemed like whatever I’d do as a driver was completely wrong. I got passed by two cars in the dash running the top when I should have been on the bottom, typically that’s where I’m better. I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

“They dropped the green (in the A Main) and I thought we had a potential of racing for the win. I got to third right away. Donny (Schatz) and I were back and forth. I had a major error as a driver. I hit an infield tire and bent the front axle. I pride myself on being the smartest racer out there and it was a complete driver error.”

Lasoski spent most of the race in the top five before ending with a sixth-place result.

The weekend concluded on Saturday at U.S. 36 Raceway, where the Muddy backed team timed in sixth quickest in qualifying before ending second in a heat race to again make the dash. This time Lasoski caught the inversion perfectly and he started the dash on the pole.

Lasoski won the dash to start the main event on the inside of the front row.

“We took off in the lead,” he said. “Guy (Forbrook) gave me a great race car. As the night went on the track got heavier and heavier. The longer I went the tighter I got. With 10 laps to go I had to grab another handful of wheel to be able to turn the car. I think I lost three spots in the last five laps because of being so tight.”

Lasoski held on for the sixth-place finish.

On a positive note the two top 10s increased his lead in the National Sprint League championship standings to 459 points with only two points-paying races remaining this season.

The Muddy sponsored team will take this weekend off before tackling the NSL season finale on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Mo., for the 21st annual Queen’s Royale.
