The Park Jefferson Speedway, along with the heads of the NE 360's along with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series, have made the decision to move the sprint car portion of the event from Sunday, September 18, to Saturday, September 17.
"We are pleased to announce the move to Saturday for this event as it allows teams the opportunity to travel to the Sioux City area to compete in the Iron Cup. This is the the 3rd and final round of the North vs. South Sprint Car Challenge, and we hope to have an even fuller field of cars as a result of the rescheduling" stated owner Adam Adamson.
The event will pay $1,500 for first and $350 to start the A Main. Race times will be earlier than the normal Park Jefferson race, as gates open at 2 p.m and hot laps will be at 4:30 p.m. for the J&J Fitting Iron Cup.
Park Jefferson will host the Iron Cup over the weekend of September 17-18th. The Iron Cup is the largest IMCA sanctioned event in South Dakota hosting over 100 cars and is sponsored by J&J Fitting and IState Truck Centers of Sioux City.
