35 Winged 600's, 8 Restrictor's, and 5 Jr Sprint's check in for the Kevin Reid Memorial at Gator Motorplex for then first of 2 nights of racing. We would get all the heats ran and get our lineups set for the features. The 600's would run there B-main to finish up the lineup. The Jr. Sprints would hit the track in a hurry after learning there would be no intermission. Causing mass chaos. They would pace around the track for several laps before getting stopped due to the track not being ready. They would finally get going again to take the green and CJ Jones would jump out to the lead and stay there as he parked it in victory lane. The Lonestar 600's would like to personally apologize the the Jr Sprint drivers and crews as the officials had personal matters they had to attend to and could not be on the track to officiate. The track took care of it for us. There were some issues that occurred and we are sorry for that. Next out came the restrictor's. Dylan Pendergrass would lead the field to the green. He would jump out to the lead to get it closed up by a wrecked Cole Tipton. We would line them back up and Dylan would lead the field around the track all the way to the checkers. Thank you to Pendergrass Racing and Jack Hall Racing for coming all the way from Oklahoma to join us. Next out would be the show of the night the Winged 600's. Hunter Gengo would find himself on the pole to the race he won last year. He would take the green and lead them to turn one to find it being called back for a major pileup in turn 2. Due to the amount of cars involved and not knowing who started it the track officials and Lone star officials decided to just make it a complete restart. All would go to there original starting spot. They would get untangled, unmangled and get all lined back up. Hunter would take the green and jump the start. As normal we wait till the back stretch to throw the yellow so no one would wreck. Before we could call it back the red would fly to find Randall McCord upside down. He would climb out and be ok. The cars would fire up and get back in line. Hunter would set the pace a 3rd time but jump the start again and he would be penalized by being placed in the second starting spot. This would put Chase Cook on the pole spot. He would lead the cars to the green for the 4th time and it would be a good start. A little early, but per the track, this start was close enough. We had to go. It was getting late and they still had other classes to race. After the dust settles we would find Marcus Thomas and Kevin Battarbee nose to tail for 5 laps with Kevin trying everything he had to get around Marcus. Kevin could not find another groove to do so and would have to unfortunately settle for second. Marcus Thomas would park it in victory lane. Congrats to our winners. Everyone would load up for the night to regroup and travel to Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont Tx. The races would however get rained out before we even got started. Next race will be at Gulf Coast Speedway for the Texas State Race featuring the Winged 600's, Restrictor's, and Jr Sprint's.
