MOBERLY, Mo. (September 3, 2016) For the six time in 2016, Jonathan Cornell was first to the checkered flag with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps as the Kiowa Line Builders No. 28 topped action at the Randolph County Raceway on Saturday, September 3.
Taking off from the fourth starting spot, Cornell gave chase to Randy Martin for only one lap. Taking over on the second round, Martin was able to keep pace for a handful of laps before slower traffic allowed Cornell to lay on the distance.
Slowed twice in the 25 lap A-Feature, Cornell was still able to lap into the top-ten.
Randy Martin settled for second with Taylor Walton posting an impressive run to third from the 12th starting spot. Jay Russell crossed fourth with Evan Martin fifth. Austin Alumbaugh was sixth with Chris Morgan seventh. Iowa’s John Schulz came from 13th to eighth with Corey Nelson and Danny Thoman make up the top-ten.
The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps returns to action at Lakeside Speedway on Friday, September 16 and Missouri State Fair Speedway on Saturday, September 17.
