600 World Championship Format Changes

Belleville, IL – Due to the title sponsor falling out from the event, the 600 World Championship at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas has been condensed into one night instead of three. Now scheduled for Saturday, September 17th and paying $2000 to win, $200 to start, the event will be directed and run by POWRi officials with the typical POWRi format for a POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series show. The POWRi West Midget Series will also be racing Saturday night in conjunction with the Speedway Motors Micros.

“It is unfortunate that this has happened,” stated Kenny Brown of POWRi. “But, we are going to make the best of it and still give teams the opportunity to race and fans the opportunity to see some of the best micro drivers in the United States compete alongside some of the best midget drivers. I-30 hosts outstanding open wheel racing in the Southern region; our POWRi West Midget Series has put on excellent shows before at I-30 and we look forward to the same for September 17th.”

All entry fees that have been received, and any that are still in the mail, will be promptly refunded. Hoosier tires of any compound will be allowed. Complete payout can be found under the forms link located at the top of POWRi web site.
