Inside Line Promotions – THE WOODLANDS, Texas (Sept. 1, 2016) – SawBlade.com will award a saw to a couple of race fans attending the season-ending ASCS Gulf South Region races this weekend.
SawBlade.com, which sponsors Tommy Bryant and the Cooper Motorsports team that enters this weekend ranked second in the championship standings, has given out saws and hats at select events throughout the season.
This weekend’s ASCS Gulf South Region showdown will begin Saturday at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. (CDT). The region’s final race will be Sunday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. (CDT).
Saturday will offer $3,000 to win and $310 to start with Sunday paying out $2,000 to win with a $1,000 bonus on the line for sweeping the weekend thanks to Cooper Racing and Challenger Drilling.
SawBlade.com will be giving away a Rage 2, 14-inch multipurpose chop saw at each race. The Rage 2 Carbide saw will cut off mild steel, aluminum a quarter inch thick or wood and nail embedded wood, all with the same blade. It weighs 45 pounds, with 1 Arbor and 15 Amperage. Its RPM is 1450 with a motor of 2000W.
After being idle the whole month of August, Bryant is more than ready to get back to racing. He is seeking a little revenge at Golden Triangle Raceway Park. In May, after winning his heat, a mechanical issue forced him out of the feature and he recorded a 19th-place finish. Bryant recorded a fifth-place finish at Battleground Speedway in June.
“We were good at both tracks and I know we will contend for wins,” he said.
