Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. is back atop the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car standings after winning in spectacular fashion during Saturday night’s “California Racers Hall of Fame Night" 30-lapper at Perris Auto Speedway. While running third, Gardner was involved in a lap 10 tangle with Austin Williams and R.J. Johnson. Gardner restarted from the tail, then charged through the field, ripping the lead from Brody Roa on lap 29, then led the final two laps to take the victory in his Scott Sales Company/Weld Racing Spike/J & D Performance entry. Roa took second ahead of Jake Swanson, Ronnie Gardner and A. Williams.
