Inside Line Promotions – EAGLE, Neb. (Aug. 23, 2016) – Jack Dover charged to his 15th top five of the season last Saturday at Eagle Raceway.
He opened the night by maneuvering Chris Roseland’s 305ci sprint car from seventh to third place in a heat race. That lined him up on the outside of the sixth row for the main event.
“We had some good battles working our way through the field and were able to come away with a top five,” he said. “We always want to leave with the victory, but another top five and passing as many cars as we did is a positive result.”
Dover rallied to record a fifth-place finish.
He will return to 360ci competition with a tripleheader this weekend, which begins with Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints races on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., and Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson, S.D.
Dover has recorded four straight wins and six consecutive podium finishes with the series to build a 70-point lead in the championship standings. He has won at both tracks this season with the Nebraska 360 Sprints.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday at Badlands Motor Speedway in Brandon, S.D., where Dover finished second during both of his visits this season.
“It’s always exciting heading to tracks where you’ve won because you have that confidence that you can get the job done,” he said. “We’ve won at Badlands, just not this year. Hopefully we can get our first win of the year there this weekend and it will close the weekend with three wins in three races.”
Dover picked up three wins in the same weekend last month and he achieved that feat last year as well.
