Grays Harbor Raceway is back in action this Saturday night with the 360 Sprint Cars, Shipwreck Beads Modifieds, PHRA Dwarf Cars, and Outlaw Tuners on the 3/8 banked clay oval. Last time the 360 Sprint Cars were on hand, Colton Heath of Marysville picked up the win over Enumclaw's Henry Van Dam, and Jay Cole of Shelton. As the points stand right now Snohomish driver Reece Goetz leads over Cole, Van Dam, Jake Helsel of Monroe and Spanaway driver Lance Sargent.
The Shipwreck Beads Modifieds had the weekend off last weekend after they were on hand during the Grays Harbor County Fair where Cosmopolis driver Tom Sweatman picked up the win over Shelton driver Scott Miller and Brian Harding of Oakville. Sweatman currently has a 25 point lead over Miller, as the rest of the top five shows Seabeck's Kyler Moore, Harding, and Aberdeen driver Austin Kerrigan.
The PHRA Dwarf Cars will see their final appearance at Grays Harbor Raceway for 2016 this Saturday night as the last visit saw a double header on July 29th and 30th. Josh King of Red Bluff, CA picked up the win both nights. The final night saw him pick up the win over over Gaston, Ore driver Corey Estaban, and Ryan Martinez of Portland, Ore.
Aberdeen driver Cory Sweatman has been on a hot streak as of late winning the last 3 feature events in the Outlaw Tuners. Sweatman will look to make it four in a row this Saturday night. Sweatman took the checkered flag over Josh Wharton of Tenino and Wishkah's Don Briggs Sr last Saturday in the 15 lap feature. Currently the top five in Outlaw Tuner points have Briggs Sr. with a 34 point lead over Chad Norton of Tenino, Wharton, Montesano driver Brittany Diggle and Tyler Sundstrom of Aberdeen.
Gates will open at 5:30PM and racing will begin at 7PM.
