Inside Line Promotions – AMARILLO, Texas (Aug. 12, 2016) – Coby Weaver and Blake Dacus both added their name to the Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass Winner’s List on Friday at Tri-State Speedway.
Weaver charged from sixth to win a Stock Non-Wing heat race and make the feature redraw. He then pulled the No. 2 during the random redraw to start the 20-lap main event on the outside of the front row, which provided an opportunity that Weaver pounced on.
He took the checkered flag first to garner the triumph during the series debut at the track.
Collin Traylor finished in the runner-up position with Logan Reynolds third, Joe Klonoski fourth and Blake Edwards, who also won a heat race, rounding out the top five.
Dacus advanced from fourth to capture the Winged ‘A’ Class victory. Hunter Gengo placed second, Tristin Kirk third, Jeremey Dockery fourth and Traylor charged from 17th to end fifth.
Malachi (Buddy) Mullens, Dacus and Trey Hale were the heat race winners.
The Driven Midwest NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass wraps up the weekend on Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas.
