Lucas Oil Amercian Sprint Car Series invades Park Jefferson

The Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series will invade the Park Jefferson Speedway in a special Thursday night event. The Sioux City Summer Slidefest will see the touring drivers come east after spending the past month racing in Washington, Oregon and Montana. Featuring top drivers like New Mexico's Johnny "Hollywood" Herrera, Oklahoma's Wayne Johnson and Texas based Sam Hafertepe, the ASCS is poised to bring thrills and spills to the Sioux City oval. Also racing will be the Schaeffer Oil IMCA Sport Modifieds and the Fox 620 Hobby Stocks. Both divisions will be racing for $350 to win and $50 to start the A feature with full IMCA state, regional national and track points on the line.

Gates will open at 5pm for the Thursday night event with hot laps scheduled for 6:45 and racing at 7:30, which is 30 minutes later than the standard starting time.

Adult tickets are $25 with seniors and children $10. Pit passes will be $35. A clubhouse pass can be added to any ticket for $15. For more information, follow us at www.parkjeff.com or www.facebook.com/ParkJeffersonSD.
