The team is heading to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., on Thursday for a Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints event prior to the Midwest 360 Speedweek finale on Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn.
“It’s always great to be able to race with Mark and the team,” Lasoski said. “He’s had a busy start to the year with getting a new trailer and focusing on his business and now we get to race together. I’m really excited for the weekend.”
Lasoski has multiple top-five finishes at I-80 Speedway during 360ci sprint car competition each of the last five years, including wins in 2014, 2013 and 2012. In fact, Lasoski has 11 podiums, 15 top fives and 19 top 10s during 20 races since 2011.
“It’s a home track for Mark so we always like to do well there,” he said. “We like to put on a good show for his friends and family. It’s a track we’ve run really well at and I’m hopeful we can be a contender right out of the box on Thursday.”
Lasoski has also picked up one top-five finish each of the last five years in 360ci action at Jackson Motorplex, including runner-up results in 2014, 2012 and 2011.
“Friday will be a test run for the Jackson Nationals in September and it gets us another race under our belt as we’re preparing for the 360 Knoxville Nationals next month,” he said. “I know Mark and the team will give me a great car and our goal is to put ourselves in contention to win each night this week.”

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Team Jack Foundation
The Team Jack Foundation was established to raise money to fund impactful pediatric brain cancer research and to create national awareness for the disease. The Team Jack Foundation got its start when Jack Hoffman, who is a 10-year-old from Atkinson, Neb., was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011. Hoffman battled life-threatening surgeries and debilitating seizures as doctors scrambled to save his life.
During that time his family reached out to the University of Nebraska in hopes that Hoffman could meet Rex Burkhead, who was the star running back for the football team. They met in September 2011 and a friendship was born, which was also featured on ESPN. Burkhead’s support earned him the Rare Disease Champion Award presented by Uplifting Athletes.
As of January 2014, the Team Jack movement has raised $2.5 million and counting for pediatric brain cancer research. The Team Jack Foundation is working with world renowned researchers, directly, to develop relevant and impactful research initiatives.
“We are extremely happy to support the Team Jack Foundation and its mission,” Burch said. “The Team Jack Foundation is something that is special to me. We want to do all we can within the grass roots level of dirt racing where we are known to promote the awareness of pediatric cancer and hopefully help raise additional funds for research to cure the disease.”
