GREENVILLE, Texas (July 16, 2016) It is rare to say Tim Crawley is a first time winner, but it does happen on occasion, and Saturday was just right for that as the wily veteran picked up his first career victory with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products at the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.

The eighth different ASCS Region that Crawley has at least one victory in over the years, Saturday’s win by the Arkansas native is the second time in as many days for a driver to add their name to the list of winners with the Red River Region to bring the year’s total to 11 winners.

Overall, Tim has 18 ASCS Regional triumphs to go along with 45 Lucas Oil ASCS National victories.

Drawing the pole, Crawley led non-stop at the Texas quarter mile in the Mike Ward Motorsports No. 88. Chased to the line by Kevin Ramey, the final podium step was claimed by Friday’s winner, Ray Allen Kulhanek. Tucker Doughty raced his way to the fourth spot at the end of the 25-lap feature with Brandon Hanks climbing four spots to round out the top five.

Kade Morton crossed in sixth. Claud Estes raced to a seventh place finish, followed by Raven Culp from 11th. Bryan Debrick from 14th was ninth with Jared Sewell claiming Hard Charger with an 18th to a tenth place finish.

The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products beings its run down the home stretch as five night of racing remain in the 2016 lineup. The series returns to the Superbowl Speedway on August 27.
