After a week off from racing because of the 4th of July weekend, Park Jefferson Speedway saw night number 5 of IMCA weekly racing. Starting off the night were the Sport Compacts whose top three finishers were Jake Newsome in first, Andrew Harris in second, and Joe Blake in third. Hobby Stocks had a large number of competitors come out to the four-tenth black oval this past Saturday with the top finishers being Andy Hoffman in first, Paul Menard in second, and Derek Husted in third. Sport Modifieds also had quite a few competitors this past Saturday night, with the top finishers being Karl Brewer in first, Todd Boulware in second, and Jeff Brunssen in third. In the Stock Cars the top three finishers were Jason Ward in first, Chris Mills in second, and Paul Wenzlaff in third. Lastly, in the Modifieds, the top finishers were Bobby Moore in first for the second week in a row, Shaun Bearce in second, and Ricky Stephan in third. This Upcoming Saturday July 16th, Park Jefferson Speedway will host the Night of $1,000’s shootout as the Sign Masters A Modifieds will be having their first ever Fast Shafts IMCA Qualifying event, and the Midwest Late Model Series will be on hand also gunning for $1,000. Gates open at 5:00 pm; Hot Laps at 6:30 with races to follow! Adult tickets will be just $10 for this special event. Children and Senior’s tickets are $1. Pit Passes are $30.
