The 2010 AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car series is idle until May 29 when it resumes at Perris Auto Speedway with its annual “Salute to Indy.”
Greg Bragg of Visalia, Calif. does not appear in the “top-10” in the current standings but he’ll have bragging rights until the May 29 race after scoring his first-ever AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint car feature victory Saturday night at the PAS.
Driving the Tom & Laurie Sertich Huntington Beach Glass Mirror Buckley/RC, Bragg took the lead from David Cardey with a sensational third-to-first drive in turn three on the 28th lap and led the rest of the way to beat fast qualifier Danny Sheridan and Matt Mitchell to the checkered flag. Tony Jones and Jimmy Crawford completed the top-five.
Defending two-time series champion Mike Spencer flipped at the start of the second heat race and was transported to a local hospital for observation.
