MYERSTOWN, Pa. (July 6, 2016) – The “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks participated in the entire Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign in 2016, finishing fourth in the final standings out of ten full-time competitors. During the seven contested events, Marks finished inside the the top-ten on five occasions, two of which resulting in podium appearances. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native highlighted his ten day campaign across Pennsylvania and northern Maryland with a runner-up performance at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, July 2, after starting on the outside of row four, ringing the topside of the speedway without any brakes.

“We’re proud of our week,” Marks explained. “We had a few starts not go our way, but we moved beyond those and kept digging. Our new Maxim has been amazing. We have it right where it needs to be. The month of July is going to be busy for our race team. We want to keep this momentum going and work to score a few wins in the process.”

Brent Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M, will continue his 2016 campaign this Saturday and Sunday with a pair of appearances in Central Pennsylvania; one routine and one new. Action will ignite on Saturday evening, July 9, at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, followed by a visit to the Trailway Speedway near Hanover, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, July 10. The 410 sprint cars will take over the Trailway third-mile oval for the first time in ten years.

“I have a lot of people to thank. Most of them know who they are,” said Brent Marks. “This team has been fortunate enough to be associated with a lot of great people. Their helps allows us to be competitive. We are getting closer and closer to some of the biggest races of the year. We can’t wait to get to them. We’ve been waiting a long time.”

Marks will enter the “Speed Palace” gates in Port Royal with one main event victory on the season.
