Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (July 4, 2016) – Seth Bergman is the latest national driver to add his name to the NSA Shootout entry list for the opening weekend of the six-race series.
Bergman, who is a full-time competitor on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, will head to Billings Motorsports Park on July 15-16 to tackle the $7,500-to-win event.
“We have an off weekend from the ASCS National Tour and the NSA Shootout is a great opportunity for drivers such as myself who race for a living,” he said. “We appreciate race tracks and promoters stepping up to create these type of events that are great for not only the fans but the drivers as well.”
Bergman charged from 12th to a fourth-place finish during an ASCS National Tour event at the 3/8-mile oval last summer. He also finished fourth with the national series in 2014 and ended eighth in 2013.
“Every time I’ve been to Billings Motorsports Park it has been racy and given you an opportunity to move forward,” he said. “We’ve had a couple of good runs, but have yet to break through for a win. Hopefully we can get our first win there with all that money up for grabs.”
The July doubleheader is the first weekend of a three-weekend, six-race series this summer. Billings Motorsports Park will also host a doubleheader on Sept. 9-10 with the finale paying $7,500 to win. Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has the 61st annual Gold Cup on Aug. 26-27 as part of the NSA Shootout.
Additionally, the NSA Shootout has declared a bonus system for feature winners. Any driver who wins three of the six NSA Shootout main events will receive a $1,000 bonus. Four A Main victories nets a $1,500 bonus with five triumphs providing a $2,000 bonus. Sweeping all six races is worth an extra $2,500.
A points fund for the six-race series is also in the works.

THE EVENT –
The inaugural NSA Shootout features six total 360ci winged sprint car races – four at Billings Motorsports Park in Billings, Mont., and two at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – this summer. All races have elevated pay and the event will showcase feature bonuses as well as a points fund.
