The location may have changed buy the prestige of the Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic presented by Racing Optics remains and so does many of the marketing partners. The University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) has been a huge part of the Brad Doty Classic the past 10 years and will continue in 2016 as the heat race sponsor.
Sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, the 28th Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics returns to Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 12 (rain date of Wednesday, July 13).
UNOH owns and operates the world’s only dirt track “classroom” in Limaland Motorsports Park which hosted the Brad Doty Classic the past 10 years. Scheduling conflicts forced Limaland officials and co-promoter Brad Doty to examine options to continue the event. Limaland officials worked with Doty and Attica Raceway Park to bring the race back to where it began 28 years ago – ARP.
“When the decision was made – and it was a team decision – to move the Brad Doty Classic back to Attica, I said I wanted to continue the relationship this event has with Limaland and UNOH. Dr. (Jeff) Jarvis (president of UNOH) and the school were fantastic partners and I’m so proud we are continuing our relationship,” Doty said.
