SANDUSKY (OH) - It's set to be a 'Super' July at Sandusky Speedway. After deciding to idle the track for the last weekend of June - the Historic 1/2 mile comes back to life in full force for the month of July.
Scheduled throughout the month will the the MSA Supermodifieds, which will kick things off this weekend, a power wheel demo derby #2, the Mathews Ford Mid-Season Championships, the rescheduled 'chain-race', a $1,000.00 to win Modified race, the VROA Modifieds and the 39th Annual Hy-Miler Supermodified Nationals.
The Adkins Glass Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) will invade the half-mile Sandusky Speedway in Perkins Township, Ohio this Saturday night, July 2nd as part of T&B Excavation night at the historic speedplant. Past Sandusky winners Jon Henes, Charlie Schultz and Jim Paller are all expected in the field. Early counts indicate a car count in the mid-teens.
Also joining the Adkins Glass MSA Supermodifieds are the Modifieds, the Wolfpack Division Sportsman, the Milan Automotive Street Stocks and the Melinda! Melinda! Hobby Stocks. Pits open at 3 with hot laps at 4. Qualifying will start at 5:30 to set the field for the racing action slated to begin at 7 o'clock.
The 'chain-race' scheduled for last weekend has been added to the schedule for July 16th. Anyone interested in more information or would like to pre-enter the race is asked to contact Chris Mize at 330-280-1936.
