Inside Line Promotions – THE WOODLANDS, Texas (June 28, 2016) – Tommy Bryant and the Cooper Motorsports team are taking some time off to spend with family and to get ready for the ASCS Gulf South Region championship run after competing in their first Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek earlier this month.
Bryant won’t be back in the seat of the SawBlade.com sponsored Cooper Motorsports machine until late July for the 15th annual Summer Nationals with the ASCS Gulf South Region. Bryant will race at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, on July 22 and at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas, on July 23.
“At Lucas Oil Speedway we got slammed pretty good and it tore the rear of the car up pretty good,” he said. “We’re getting the rear end fixed and going through the car. Because of all the rainouts early this year, we still have a couple of races before the engine needs to be freshened.
“I’m looking forward to spending time with the wife, Tracy, and the kids.”
Bryant currently ranks third in the ASCS Gulf South Region points with seven regional races remaining this season.
