Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (June 27, 2016) – Tony Bruce Jr. wants to repeat.
Not only is this weekend’s Steve King Memorial about bragging rights, the two-day NCRA event at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kan., is offering $10,000 to win.
Bruce Jr., who claimed last year’s event, will drive for Danny King – the father of whom the race is named after – during the marquee event.
“If we got to win this race it’d be absolutely huge, especially for Danny,” Bruce Jr. said. “I know it’d mean everything to be able to win his son’s race. I feel like we’ve got a car to beat. We’ve been fast lately and have figured some things out lately.”
Bruce Jr. has already scored a win with King this season and the duo garnered a fourth-place finish earlier this season at Dodge City Raceway Park.
“I haven’t raced that much this year,” Bruce Jr. said. “Every time we touch the race track it’s a learning experience. Any time you start with a brand new team it’s all new. We’ve been fortunate enough to find what we need with the car and hopefully we’ll have a good showing this weekend.”
