Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (June 14, 2016) – Joe Trenca is refreshed following a weekend off.
“It’s always nice to grab a weekend off, but at the same time you want to be at the races,” he said. “We’re excited to get back to racing this weekend at Selinsgrove.”
The Mucci Motorsports driver will return to the track on Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., where he has competed twice this season with a top result of 11th. Trenca’s career-best finish of seventh place came in 2014.
“We’ve tried some new things with the car this year and it seems to really help out there,” he said. “We’ve shown a lot of speed there and made a lot more gains than we did last year.”
Saturday will mark the 12th time since 2014 that the team has tackled the big track.
“We’ve had some decent runs there,” he said. “I like that place. It’s a real racy place and the competition is really good. The locals are tough to beat. You get a lot of guys who travel each week to race there. They put on a good show.”
Trenca is coming off his first top-five finish of the season and he has earned back-to-back top 10s.
