Inside Line Promotions – AMARILLO, Texas (June 13, 2016) – Harli White fought a tight race car last Saturday during her debut at Route 66 Motor Speedway to open the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s 24th annual Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek.
“We were too tight all night long,” she said. “The track looked like it was going to go slick, but it ended up getting more heavy. We missed the setup big time in the heat race and the feature.”
White ended fourth in a heat race after starting on the outside of the front row before she faded from 12th to a 17th-place result in the main event.
However, the good thing about a Speedweek is that there are five more races this week. White will compete on Tuesday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas; Wednesday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; Thursday at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; Friday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo.; and Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
“We’re really excited about tomorrow because I like Devil’s Bowl,” she said. “We’re going to start fresh and forget what happened at Route 66 because it wasn’t a good night of racing for us. Hopefully Speedweek treats us a little better.”
White has earned a top-five finish at Devil’s Bowl Speedway each of the last two seasons, including a career-best second-place result at the track last year.
