Inside Line Promotions – FINDLAY, Ohio (June 7, 2016) – Caleb Helms is heading to Michigan this weekend with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.
Helms will tackle Butler Speedway in Quincy on Saturday, when he will make his first trip back to the track since registering a fifth-place finish in 2014. He also placed sixth in 2012.
“The track has some good banking,” he said. “Sometimes the banking transitions from the straightaway to the corner pretty quickly and you can bottom out the car and it can be rough in that aspect. The track can be really fast and racy.”
Helms will kick off this weekend on Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, where he has a season-best result of 15th.
“I’m excited to go over there,” he said. “The track has been slick with crumbs on top. It’s been hard to get a hold of. I’m excited to get more seat time over there.”
Also new this weekend will be another veteran presence in the pits for Helms.
“Rick Ferkel is helping us out starting this weekend,” he said. “I’m really excited to work with him and gain from his experience and knowledge.”
Helms will take Sunday off from racing so he can attend his sister Shayna’s high school graduation.
“We want to go to Millstream Speedway and support them,” he said. “It’s one of my favorite tracks. But I need to be there for my sister and family always comes first.”
