Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 6, 2016) – Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski is frustrated following a miscue that cost him several positions last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway.

Lasoski, who opened the National Sprint League event by setting quick time during qualifying before he advanced from sixth to third place in a heat race, was running fourth early in the main event when he spun in turn two.

“I’ll take the blame,” he said. “My guys don’t deserve the results we got. We’ve been struggling finding the balance that I want and I got frustrated and figured I’d drive it harder. I got over the cushion and backed it into the fence and cost us a good finish. It was complete driver error.”

The Muddy backed team was forced to restart at the tail of the field following the only caution of the race. Lasoski rallied to record a ninth-place result, which was the team’s 12th top 10 of the season.

“I ran the tires off it,” he said. “I was ticked. I pride myself on being a smart race car driver and that was a bonehead move. Frustration got me and I messed up.”

Lasoski remains second in the National Sprint League and Knoxville Raceway championship standings as he enters a big weekend at the half-mile oval, which hosts the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on Friday and Saturday.

“Any time you race the best of the best it’s exciting,” he said. “The Midwest is probably the toughest region the Outlaws will visit. It won’t be a cakewalk.”

Lasoski has recorded eight World of Outlaws victories at Knoxville Raceway during his storied career.
