Bryant Prepared for ASCS Gulf South Doubleheader to Open Busy Stretch

Inside Line Promotions – THE WOODLANDS, Texas (June 6, 2016) – Tommy Bryant and the Cooper Motorsports team will be VERY busy throughout the next two weeks. Bryant will compete in seven races during nine days highlighted by his first Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek.

“I’m excited about Speedweek,” he said. “I’ve never done that deal before. We have to rebuild a rear end and put together some nose wings, but the trailer is loaded up and ready to go. I’m looking forward to the challenge of the different tracks and the tough competition.”

The SawBlade.com sponsored team took this past weekend off to get prepared for the long stretch of upcoming racing, which begins this weekend with ASCS Gulf South Region races on Friday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas, and Saturday at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas.

The last time Bryant raced was May 29 and an over-heating engine at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas, had him concerned.

“It only got really hot a couple of laps,” he said. “We found out we had a leak in the bottom radiator hose. Hopefully it didn’t hurt the motor.”

Bryant and the Cooper Motorsports team will hit the ASCS National Tour Speedweek with four straight nights of racing next week.

Bryant is currently third in the ASCS Gulf South Region championship standings and 12th in ASCS National Tour points.
