SEBASTOPOL, CA 03-30-10 - After a damaging accident in the Civil War Series opener at Placerville Speedway two weeks ago, Sebastopol's Bradley Terrell is ready to return to his hometown track this weekend to begin his run at the 2010 Petaluma Speedway All Pro Sprint Car Championship.
"It's been a very long, costly couple of weeks for us," said Terrell. "The crash at Placerville tore things up pretty bad and we just got the motor back today so we will be ready to go for Petaluma Saturday night. I have a lot of people to thank for all their hard work and help these past couple of weeks."
On March 29th, Terrell started his season out aboard his family owned #43 sprint car at Placerville Speedway for the California Sprint Car Civil War Series opener. With a hearty car count on hand, two time runner up for the Petaluma Speedway championship found himself in the semi main event where he was hoping to transfer into the money race. Early in the event Terrell suffered a serious roll over that severely damaged the car, an incident he wasn't prepared to face just yet as he is still seeking additional sponsorship for the year to come.
"I knew that the opener at Placerville usually tears up some cars," said Terrell. "But I didn't expect it to be me. It tore it up pretty good. The front end was gone, a lot of bars were destroyed and the wings. Sponsorship is tight this year so it wasn't something I was prepared to to face so early in the year."
Last year, Terrell was best known for ca competitive run in the Petaluma Speedway All Pro Championship where he finished second place in the competitive tour despite a damaging accident in the final weeks of the season that greatly reduced his chances of chasing the title in the closing weeks and forced him to the bridesmaid position for his second straight season.
"I'm looking forward to the season and picking up where I left off. Hopefully if things go our way we can take it a step further, " said Terrell, one of Petaluma Speedway's fan favorites and is known for his season long championship contest with two time titlist Alissa Geving.
In 2009 he drove the VanLare Steering and Repair #5 car in the weekly All Pro Series at Petaluma and reserved the family owned #43 for special events. This year he will start the season back in the familiar blue and orange #43 machine for his latest championship run.
Bradley Terrell is grateful for his continued supporters for the 2010 racing, many of which helped out these past two weeks to get him prepared for the All Pro Series opener. Among his marketing partners are Argonaut Const, Millhouse Glass, the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, Randy Hanson Auto Body and Paint. Vanlare Steering Repair, A1 Shower and Mirror Incorporated, DK Embroidery, Knockout Signs, Santa Rosa Moving & Storage, Altes Engineering, and 4 Wheel Parts.
Bradley Terrell is seeking additional sponsorship for the season ahead. Title sponsorship of the #43 sprint car is available with premier advertising space and great publicity with a very positive, energetic race team.
