Inside Line Promotions – WINDOM, Minn. (May 23, 2016) – The National Sprint League has another doubleheader on tap for this weekend.

The series is returning to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday for its second straight event at the half-mile oval before venturing to Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines, Iowa, on Sunday for the only time this season.

Defending series champion Danny Lasoski is the most recent winner. Lasoski recorded the first-ever clean sweep in National Sprint League history last Saturday at Knoxville Raceway, where he set quick time during qualifying before winning both a heat race and the main event.

Lasoski enters this weekend with a 26-point advantage over Craig Dollansky, who is the only other driver besides Lasoski with a top-five finish during all three National Sprint League races this season.

Knoxville Raceway is scheduled to host nine more National Sprint League events, including Saturday’s race. Lasoski has won three out of the five career National Sprint League events at the ‘Sprint Car Capital of the World.’

Tickets for the event at Knoxville Raceway are $15 for adults, $10 for ages 13 to 19 and free for ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $25.

Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. with qualifying at 7:15 p.m.

The Cushion will provide live Pay-Per-View video from the race at http://www.TheCushion.com.

Dollansky captured his first career National Sprint League victory last July at Iowa State Fair Speedway, where he led the distance of the main event.

Adult tickets for this Sunday’s race are $25 with a $5 discount at any participating Casey’s General Store. Seniors ages 65 and older are $15 with children ages 6 to 12 only $10. Children 5 and younger get in free. Pit passes are $30.

Hot laps are slated for 6 p.m. with racing to follow.

For fans unable to attend the race at Iowa State Fair Speedway Speed Shift TV is offering live Pay-Per-View video at http://www.SpeedShiftTV.com.

In additional National Sprint League news, the series will use a new format to determine main event lineups. Drivers will earn points in qualifying (200 points for quick time with a two-point drop per position until 13th place and a one-point drop from then on) and heat races (100 points to win with a four-point drop per position). The top eight in combined qualifying and heat race points will make the feature redraw with the top 16 overall advancing into the A Main. The remaining cars will line up in consolation races based on overall points with four cars transferring from the B Main.

As a reminder, the originally scheduled race on Friday at St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Mo., was cancelled during the offseason.
