Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (April 25, 2016) – Trey Starks can’t wait to get back on the track after he’s scored two wins in his last three races.
Unfortunately, Plan A and Plan B rained out last weekend in the Northwest.
“It’s been two weeks since we’ve run so I’m chomping at the bit here,” he said. “We feel like we’re ready. There’s not a ton of work to do this week since we thought we were going to run last weekend.”
Starks is slated to return to action this Saturday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., where the 3/8-mile oval is hosting its season opener.
“Grays Harbor is always fun to run,” he said. “It’s one of our bigger tracks in the Northwest. It will be interesting to see how the new surface acts. They put a new surface on within the last year. I’m sure we’ll have some great racing as usual.”
Starks won the season-opening race at Grays Harbor Raceway last season, which was his first win at the track since 2012.
“We’re going into this weekend looking for nothing short of a win,” he said. “It’s not going to be an easy one, but we do expect to win.”
In addition to his victory last season Starks earned a top-five result during his five other 360ci sprint car races at Grays Harbor Raceway.
