Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (April 12, 2016) – Weather has wreaked havoc on Joe Trenca’s plans during his first month of the season.
The Mucci Motorsports driver was unable to compete last weekend because of Mother Nature, making it two weeks in a row he missed races.
“We called last Friday off because of how the weather looked and it ended up raining out anyway and then Saturday was cancelled, too,” he said. “I was pretty bummed out. I’ve been wanting to run Williams Grove now since we started. I’m eager to get out there and try the new car and motor out.”
Trenca will once again plan on tackling Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., this Friday before invading Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., on Saturday.
“We’re still trying to make our 410 debut at Williams Grove Speedway,” he said. “Hopefully the third time is the charm since we’ve missed the last two weekends there.”
Trenca has competed at Selinsgrove Speedway 10 times during the past three years. He earned a pair of top-10 finishes in 2014 and has picked up a top 20 during seven of his nine races there the past two seasons.
“We have a lot of laps around Selinsgrove and we’re trying something a little different with our 360 program this year so I’m excited to get there this weekend,” he said. “It will be fun to do a 410 and a 360 race the same weekend. Hopefully the weather cooperates, we can learn a lot and have some fun.”
