Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (April 6, 2016) – Jack Dover will showcase a new sprint car and a fresh engine this weekend when he makes his season debut at I-80 Speedway.
Dover is tackling the high-banked track in Greenwood, Neb., on Saturday during the first race of the season for the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints.
“It’s a little different the first race out because you don’t know if you’ll have any failures,” he said. “Other than that I’m feeling great. There’s a lot of speed at I-80 and it normally gets right up against the wall. That’s just my kind of track.”
Dover scored four of his 13 victories last season at the track. Additionally, Dover has recorded 10 feature triumphs at I-80 Speedway the past three seasons.
“That’d be huge to win the opener,” he said. “To go out and win the first time out would mean a lot and it’d provide a huge boost for the team.”
Dover, who also claimed nine features with the series en route to his first Nebraska 360 Sprints championship, last won the series season opener at I-80 Speedway in 2013.
