Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (March 29, 2016) – White Lightning Motorsports driver Jamie Ball is slated to make his season debut this weekend.

Ball will venture to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, for the season opener with the Sprint Invaders.

“Everything has gone well this winter,” he said. “Our sponsors have all signed back on to be with us. The fundraiser went well. We’re eager to start the season off and hopefully start with a win.”

Ball put himself in contention to win his first race at 34 Raceway last season, when he captured a heat race, claimed the dash and led the first handful of laps in the main event before an on-track incident damaged his race car.

Ball also scored a top-five finish during his most recent race at 34 Raceway, where he won the Sprint Invaders B Main and charged from 16th to fifth in the main event last September. That helped him earn a third-place finish in the Sprint Invaders championship standings.

“We had early success, but we’re looking forward to some redemption,” he said. “We’ve had some speed there. We just have to put a full night together.”

This will be the first event in what will be a similar schedule as 2015 for Ball.

“We’ll focus No. 1 on the 360 class at Knoxville Raceway, No. 2 on racing with the Sprint Invaders and then No. 3 racing anywhere within five hours of here,” he said. “We’re hoping to hit 50 races. I think we went to 35 races last year and 14 the year before so we’re hoping to get to more races this season than the previous two years combined.”
