Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (March 28, 2016) – The 2016 season for the Creek County Speedway kicked off with a bang Saturday night during Easter Eggstravaganza.
Danny Smith topped a tough field of 27 Champ Sprints to claim yet another victory at the Creek County Speedway. Zach Alley crossed the line in second with Casey Wills claiming the final spot on the podium. Kevin Brewer came home in the fourth spot with Keith Bolton rounding out the top five.
Brandon James, Keith Bolton, Danny Smith and Sean McClelland each picked up a heat race win on Saturday with Kyle Clark claiming the lone B-Feature.
In the Modified division it was Mike Duvall that came out on top of the 20-lap season opening feature event. Collin Wiseley finished in the runner up spot with Ho Dean taking the third spot. Brandon Dean and Ted Bayouth completed the race finishing fourth and fifth.
Casey Buechler and Ho Dean clinched victories in the two heat races.
Larry Pense found his way back into Creek County Speedway victory lane topping a 20 car Dwarf Car field. Rob McQuary crossed home in second place with Samuel Stegeman taking home third. Devin Bates found himself in fourth with Mike Howard finishing in the fifth position.
Rob McQuary, Mike Howard and Paul York finished on the top spot of the three heat races.
2015 Factory Stock Champion, Bobby Wolfe started his year off the right way to chase another championship in 2016 by topping the nine car Factory Stock field on Saturday night. Tate Green finished second in the feature race with Toby Cooper coming to the checkered flag in third. Danny Cochran crossed in fourth with Justin Dunn rounding out the top five.
Tommy Romine picked up the lone heat race win and Tate Green took the Qualifier win.
Wesley Knebel opened his 2016 season with a feature event win in the Mini Stock division. Daniel Ray Denton finished the 20-lap feature event in second with Michael Denton rounding out the podium. Cody Lincoln ended up fourth when it was all said and done with Robert Lockhart finishing fifth.
Jimmy Masterson and Wesley Knebel took victories in heat race action.

Creek County Speedway is a tight quarter-mile bullring racing every Saturday night, located 6 miles west of Sapulpa, Oklahoma on Historic Route 66.
