The worlds of auto racing and ice hockey collide this Saturday night, March 5, during “Racing Night” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ Grand Hall building in Indianapolis. Among the list of drivers expected to greet fans at the pregame event from 5-7pm is 2014 and 2015 USAC Silver Crown Champion and two-time “Hoosier Hundred” winner Kody Swanson. Furthermore, numerous racecars including Silver Crown cars, sprint cars, dragsters, stock cars and others from a wide variety of racing disciplines will be on display at Grand Hall Saturday night.
Fans will be able to interact with drivers and cars, take photos and get autographs with the stars of racing for the two-hour event leading up to the game featuring the ECHL’s Indy Fuel and the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:35pm in Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Along with Swanson, other drivers expected to attend include 2014 USAC Pavement Midget champion Kyle O’Gara, 8-time USAC National Midget feature winner Brian Gerster 2014 NHRA U.S. Nationals Champion Richie Crampton, Sprint Car driver Randy Hannagan and many more.
Grand Hall is located outside the exit of turn four of the one-mile dirt racetrack that has hosted the “Hoosier Hundred” since 1953 and is directly across the road from Indiana Farmers Coliseum where the hockey game will be played that night.
In addition, at the USAC booth, fans can enter to win FREE tickets to the 100-lap “Hoosier Hundred” featuring the USAC Silver Crown Series at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Thursday night, May 26.
Admission to the pregame event is free with a game ticket, and food and beverage will also be available for purchase. Tickets for “Racing Night” or any other Indy Fuel game are now on sale at Ticketmaster or at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum box office.
