Robby Wolfgang recently released his 2016 Racing Schedule, and it’s filled with visits to Badlands Motor Speedway. BMS will host 33 race nights this season, and Wolfgang is scheduled to race….32 of them?
Busy guy.
Wolfgang, the son of legendary Sprint Car Hall-of-Famer Doug Wolfgang, is racing every night at BMS in 2016 except the non-winged qualifying night of the Rock N’ Roll Gold Cup. He will race every 305-Sprint Car and 360-Sprint Car event, as well as select 410-Sprint Car programs. In all, Wolfgang is scheduled to race 36 times this year with BMS hosting 32 of those nights. He’ll also race once at I-80 Speedway in Nebraska, Sioux Speedway in Sioux Center, Iowa, Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa and Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, SD.
No doubt the 24-year old is going for a pair of Track Titles in 2016 as he’ll be racing every 305-Sprint Car event at BMS in the DW Motorsports car owned by the Wolfgang family. He is planning on running the entire “MSTS Powered by Badlands Motor Speedway 360-Sprint Car Series” in a Dale Furby-owned car. Wolfgang will also run six 410-Sprint Car shows in a Furby-owned car ($100,000 Silver Shootout on May 21, the World of Outlaws on July 2-3, The $250,000 Rock N Roll Gold Cup on August 19 and 21, and the National Cheater’s Day Competition on Sept. 17).
Wolfgang has 15 career feature wins at the Speedway, including three last year in the 305-Sprint Car class where he finished fourth in Championship Points.
