Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (Feb. 22, 2016) – The 2016 season has started off rocky for Brandon Hanks, who was unable to compete last weekend during the Ronald Laney Memorial.

Hanks posted one of the top lap times during Wednesday’s practice session prior to the three-day event at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla. Unfortunately, a mechanical problem forced the team to skip the weekend and head home early.

“That’s certainly not the way we wanted to get the season started, especially after having to wait through a long offseason to hit the track,” Hanks said. “Our focus now is to identify the problem and get everything fixed before the ASCS season begins.”

Hanks is slated to compete at most of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour events this season, beginning on March 11-12 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.

“Creek County is one of my favorite tracks,” he said. “I’ve always enjoyed racing there and it’s been circled on our calendar. Hopefully we can get everything lined up between now and then and we can have a smooth weekend there.”

Hanks recorded third-place results during both races at Creek County Speedway last season.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – D&B Farms

Located in Burlison, Tenn., D&B Farms is a corn and beans farm owned by the Hanks family.

“It’s a family business so I need to thank my dad, Ricky Huffman and Jason Honeycutt,” Hanks said. “We all work on the farm together. Without them not only would we not be able to race, but we couldn’t make a living.”

Hanks would also like to thank Performance Powder Coating, Wesmar Racing Engines, Walls Paint and Body Shop, R.E. Enterprises, Penske Racing Shocks, Acme Graphix, Hinchman Racewear, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems and J-R1 for their continued support.
