Bergman Aiming for $10,000 Top Prize at Ronald Laney Memorial This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – SHAWNEE, Okla. (Feb. 16, 2016) – Seth Bergman is hungry and the next opportunity to eat is this weekend in Florida.

Bergman will embark upon a long trip to the Southeast to tackle the $10,000-to-win Ronald Laney Memorial at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, where he will compete this Thursday through Saturday at the unique track.

“The Ronald Laney Memorial is a very prestigious race and there’s a lot of money on the line so it will be a great opportunity for our team,” he said. “I learned a lot there last year that hopefully we can apply this weekend.”

Bergman charged from 12th to fifth during last year’s opener. He then posted results of 18th and 13th, respectfully, at the Ronald Laney Memorial.

“The track changes dramatically throughout each night,” he said. “You have to stay on top of it minute by minute to give yourself an opportunity. If your car isn’t handling well it’s easy to fall to the back quickly so our focus needs to be top notch.”

This weekend will be the first of two straight in the region for Bergman, who is preparing to compete for his first career Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship. The ASCS season begins in mid-March.
